From Elder Moderator of Christian Education, Janet Phipps: The Christian Education program at Kanapaha Church mirrors the congregation itself – constantly growing and changing! Charged with the responsibility of contributing to the spiritual growth of all of our members, from infants to adults, we are doing everything we can to provide opportunities for learning.

Our Sunday School program now includes classes for preschoolers, elementary and middle schoolers, high school students, and adults! We use a curriculum which is based on the lectionary, ensuring that all age groups are focusing on the same scripture each week.

We provide Nursery Care from 9:30 am until the end of the worship hour each Sunday, and we also offer a mid-week Bible study! We held Vacation Bible School last summer at Kanapaha for the first time in many years. Fifteen children ranging in age from 3 to 12 attended and learned how to shine God’s light in our own community and throughout the world. We are already making plans for next year’s Vacation Bible School and hope to be able to accommodate even more children once our new Fellowship Hall is complete!
